Journalist Miyat Kashibay was covering the election of the akim. After he started publishing posts on Facebook about the situation at the polling station, members of the precinct election commission first demanded that he present a negative PCR test. When it turned out that the journalist did not have the certificate, they demanded that he leave the polling station. According to Miyat, who had already been at the polling station for about six hours by that time, members of the precinct election commission did not demand a PCR test from him or election observers during registration in the morning. Having heard Kashibay's refusal, the chairman of the precinct election commission called the police, who forcibly took the journalist outside.
