In Moscow, unknown people came to the office of the Megafon mobile phone operator. They ordered an inquiry of calls and SMS of the special correspondent of The Bell Irina Pankratova. The journalist discovered the attempt to use her data on August 11. According to the journalist, the attackers made the order on a day and time when she regularly visits a psychologist and turns off her phone for an hour. Pankratova assumes that someone is purposefully trying to trace her sources of information or use her personal data.
