Vera Oleynikova received death threats on social networks. She has been on hunger strike since late July. On July 24, she was detained at an action of solidarity with Open Russia activist Anastasia Shevchenko and arrested for three days under the article on disobedience to police. Oleynikova is also facing a fine of up to RUB 100,000 under the article on disrespect for authority. On August 7, on a court hearing, in this case, Oleynikova was insulted by Sergey Rulev, a prosecution witness in the Shevchenko case.
