In the Supreme Court of Crimea, during the consideration of the appeal in the case of Sohiba Burkhanova, in respect of whom a ruling on deportation was issued, citizen journalist Seyran Maksudov filed a request for a photo and video shooting of the trial. The judge denied the request saying that «photo and video fixation of the trial can put additional pressure on its participants, negatively affect their manner of behaviour in court and, therefore, prevent the fair administration of justice».
