The deputy of the Lviv city council, the head of the Lviv utility company Oleg Schmidt reacted on the social network Facebook to the publication of the journalistic investigation. He wrote to the journalists: «Those two goats behave as if their every report is the last, and they are going to the Canary Islands forever. I don't know how they are going to live in Lviv and look people in the eyes after their lies they bleat». Later, during a telephone conversation, he said that he «did not offend the journalists, since these words were written on the Internet, and not spoken on camera or in public».
