On April 2, deputy of the National Assembly Gevorg Gorgisyan filed a lawsuit against the 4rd.am information portal demanding a public apology and compensation for the damage caused to the honor, dignity, and business reputation in the amount of AMD 1,000,000. The reason for the lawsuit was the material published on February 29 on the 4rd.am website under the heading «Gorgisyan would be a pocket thief». «We officially declare: if Mikael Minasyan (son-in-law of former President Serzh Sargsyan – Committee to Protect Freedom of Expression) did not create Enlightened Armenia (the name of the party – Committee to Protect Freedom of Expression), and if there was no advantage in the surname of Gevorg, he would definitely become a pocket thief», – noted in the publication. The lawsuit proceedings were initiated, and the trial is in progress.
