On May 25, the head of the Akhuryan community Artsruni Igityan filed a lawsuit against Yurik Grigoryan, Arzuman Gapoyan and the founder of the Aravot.am news website Aravot oratert LLC, demanding a public apology, refutation of the factual data considered to be libel, and payment of compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the article published on April 29 on the Aravot.am the website, which says that the farmers who applied to the Government of the Republic of Armenia complain about the discriminatory attitude of the head of the community Artsruni Igityan. They, in particular, noted that Igityan did not provide them with compensation for the hailstorm. In addition, they noted that Artsruni Igityan bought houses in Yerevan and Paris and privatized several buildings in Akhuryan for his relatives. On June 4, the lawsuit proceedings were initiated.
