The Temirtau city court of the Karaganda region considered a claim for compensation for moral damage to M. Kuleshova, convicted of murder in 2019, against the editorial office of the Vechernyaya Gazeta newspaper. The newspaper was covering that trial. Kuleshova believes that the journalists, by their «inappropriate actions», made her feel shame and moral suffering, which the plaintiff estimated at KZT 2,000,000. Later, the plaintiff applied to the court to leave her claim without consideration.
