At an unauthorized protest rally in support of Alexey Navalny, a security forces officer swung his truncheon at journalist Alyona Istomina — the blow fell on the phone. «I was in the "Press" vest, in full uniform, so the officer saw perfectly well who he was swinging at,» — said Istomina. «At that moment, I was doing my job. I saw that the security forces officers were detaining a man; I started filming it; when the man was dragged to the bus, I also tried to pass, I, for no reason, was rudely pushed away. I continued to film, and at that moment, a truncheon hit my phone. I don't know if the officer was aiming at the phone or just at me, but this was definitely not an accident,» — the journalist said.
