Correspondent of the Mtavari Arkhi TV channel Ema Gogokhia was attacked by the mayor of Mestia (Svaneti) Kakha (Kapiton) Jorjoliani. Gogokhia filmed a report on the investigation by Transparency International Georgia, according to which the deputy of the Georgian Dream ruling party Viktor Japaridze and his son Otar Japaridze have signed tender agreements with the state in the amount of GEL 6,264,688 in Svaneti over the past two years. The mayor of Mestia began to push the journalist away using force. At night, Jorjoliani called the journalist and offered money for Gogokhia to leave Svaneti. In the morning, she discovered that the wheels of her car had been cut.
