Bolot Temirov received threats on social networks, for example, that people would «come to him» if he did not delete the posted material. He also reported on attempts to hack his Facebook and Instagram accounts. Earlier Temirov published a report in which he investigated the crackdown of a rally of activists demanding the resignation of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulan Niyazbekov. The crackdown of the rally was organized by the «anti-rally» participants. The investigative journalist wrote that the provokers, who behaved aggressively, were controlled by plain-clothed police officers. Media workers of the YouTube channel Temirov Live KG were able to identify many police officers.
