Journalist Zulfiya Turgunova was attacked when she was covering a meeting of local residents with the chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic Kamchybek Tashiev, where the issue of the disputed border areas was discussed. «Gathered people forbade me to shoot, and I didn’t. I went to the meeting place to listen to Tashiev, but the men started pushing me. When I fell, I was dragged along the ground. Even the special forces guarding the head of the State Committee for National Security just stood and watched. Tashiev himself and the head of the region Omurbek Suvanaliev also saw it,» — the journalist said.
