Russian police searched the apartments of investigative journalists working for independent investigative outlet Proekt. The homes raided belonged to Editor-in-Chief Roman Badanin and journalist Maria Zholobova. Proekt later said the raids were tied to a defamation case brought over a 2017 film Badanin and Zholobova had worked on. As a result of the search, Badanin's laptops were confiscated. Zholobova's laptops, mobile phones, flash drives and sim cards were confiscated as well.
