The head of the Academy of the Press Club Belarus, a citizen of the Russian Federation, Sergey Yakupov, was released from the pre-trial detention centre and taken to the airport under escort, where he was deported to Russia. According to the lawyer, no charges were brought against him. Yakupov was detained on December 22 along with other employees of the organization.
