Effect.uz journalist Fazliddin Mehmonov collected information about an unauthorized anti-LGBT rally. He was detained by the National Guards even though he presented the press card. Mehmonov was put on the bus with other protesters and taken to the Mirabadsky Internal Affairs Department of Tashkent, where he stayed under the rain for more than one and a half hours and two and a half hours inside the Department. The Ministry of Internal Affairs officials insulted the journalist, photographed him as a criminal and forced him to write an explanatory note.
