Aytaj Tapdyg was detained with force next to the Central Election Committee building. The rally was held by candidates for deputies against the rigging of the parliamentary elections. Journalists covering the action were attacked by the police at least 17 times. They faced attacks during the filming of the action while escorting the detained journalists and at the Semashko hospital, where victims came for medical help. At least four journalists were attacked during the protest rally.
