The trial of freelance reporters and bloggers Elchin Gasanov and Ibrahim Turksoy was finished in the Mingecevir City Court. The head of the production association of housing and public utilities of Mingecevir, Shahriyar Mustafayev, filed a private criminal complaint against them. He sued both journalists under Art. 147.1. (defamation) and 148 (insult). The court sentenced them to one year of community services.
