The court of the city of Shymkent is considering a claim to protect the honour, dignity and business reputation of the acting deputy head of the department of justice of the city of Shymkent N. Makhambetov against the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Temirkazyk-Oy" Anar Suleeva. On 27, 30, December 2019 and 7 January 2020, Anar posted several appeals on Facebook, upon finding videos about Makhambetov’s use of official vehicles during off-hours. She appealed to the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, General to the prosecutor of the RK. Earlier N. Makhambetov tried to sue Suleeva for libel. In March, the journalist was acquitted of this charge.
