On 8 March, a women’s march took place in Baku under the slogan "8 March - For our rights". The procession was dispersed, the activists were detained and taken to the police. Several journalists involved in the rally were banned from gathering information. Video blogger Nurlan Gahramanli was physically assaulted while he was filming the detention of female activists.
