Journalists were not allowed to attend the open trial in the Oktyabrsky District Court. The guards allowed entry into the courtroom only to the relatives of the defendant. A few minutes later, Judge Snezhana Kindeeva and several men in civilian clothes - presumably police officers - entered the hall and occupied the remaining seats.
