The arrested founder and editor-in-chief of the websites Xeberman.com and Press-az Polad Aslanov began a hunger strike on 5 August. The journalist protests against the arrest on bogus charges. According to the journalist's wife, he is under pressure in prison. "Because of the hunger strike, Polad Aslanov was taken out of the cell for three people and placed in the toilet, he was pressurised to end the hunger strike," said his wife.
