The editorial office of the Agency for Investigative Journalism announced that it regards the opening of a criminal case according to a statement from Oleksandr Dubinsky, a people’s deputy from the Servant of the People party, to be pressure on journalists. The investigation was begun under Art. 163, part 2 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, or more precisely, supposedly due to violation of the privacy of correspondence, telephone conversations, telegraph or other correspondence transmitted by means of communication or through a computer. This article provides for deprivation of freedom from three to seven years.
