On 13 April activist Arman Khasenov was arrested by the National Security Committee officers for the video posted on YouTube on 12 April. Amongst other topics, he questions the sources of income of Kazakhstan’s former president Nursultan Nazarbaev’s family and entourage. On 20 April, Khasenov was arrested for two months, following the ruling of Karaganda court. According to “Radio Azattyq”, Arman Khasenov is currently in the National Security Agency Office detention centre. He’s allegedly being charged with “insulting honour and dignity of the first president”.
