Chairman of the Kakhovka district council Tatiana Tertichnaya banned journalists from attending the council meeting, referring to the recommendations of the emergency committee. Sergei Makogon, the journalist from “Kakhovskaya zorya” newspaper wasn’t allowed to attend the meeting; the journalist from “Novyi Den” (New Day) Oleg Baturin was only let in after he threatened to call the police.
