On March 18, police sent a letter to the editorial officer of the newspaper Hraparak.am, demanding that information about cigarette shortages in prisons be removed from the newspaper on the site Hraparak.am. According to this publication, a riot was brewing among the prisoners due to the ban on receiving packages in connected with the state of emergency. Notices were sent also to the sites Mamul.am and Iravunk.com which had reprinted this news, which removed the part of the material which mentioned the state of emergency.
