The Investigative Committee of Pskov Oblast opened a criminal case against Svetlana Prokopieva. She was suspected of a crime as described in Part 2 of Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Public calls to carry out terrorist activities or public justification of terrorism in the media"). The case was initiated after Prokopieva’s remarks on air and on the website of Echo of Moscow in Pskov.
