On April 26, 2019, Valentin Gorshenin, a journalist for REN TV, was at the scene of an incident in Shchyolkovo in Moscow Oblast, where a man barricaded himself in a high-rise building and threatened to blow it up. A member of the psychiatric team demanded the journalist introduce himself and show accreditation. Then, the mental health worker took the documents from the correspondent, beat him and broke his professional camera, worth 350 thousand rubles (around USD 4800).
