Saadet Dzahangirgyzy, and member of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP), was on May 1 at about noon taken to the Investigative Department for Serious Crimes. The newspapers’ editors announced this. In particular, agents disguised as gas meter men came into Dzahangirgyzy’s apartment, searched, confiscated her computer and telephone as well as money had saved for his son’s studies and took her to the Investigative Department. Dzahangirgyzy was subjected to an interrogation lasting many hours and was released only in the evening. Her computer, telephones, and cash were not returned, however. On April 28, she was briefly detained after she went to the homes of APFP leader Ali Kerimli to conduct an interview.
