Police officers detained journalist in the evening on August 9, on the day of the presidential elections, when he was covering a peaceful protest rally of people who disagreed with election results. He was taken to the police department where protocol on violation of the legislation on mass events (Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code) was drawn on him. Before the trial, he was placed in the pre-trial detention "isolator". On August 12, the court found the journalist guilty and arrested him for 10 days.
