Isropil Nalgiev, the Ingush blogger who wrote about protests and repression in Ingushetia has been arrested. He’s being charged with using violence against a policeman at last year’s demonstration in Magas. Since 4 February, there’s been a new wave of searches and questionings connected to the “Ingush case” and five people were arrested. The house search warrant claims that Nalgiev is suspected in participating in extremist group but he is on trial for a different offense (using violence against an authority representative). He pleads not guilty.
