On May 3, 2018, in Tomsk, officers from the Centre for Combatting Extremism detained activist and blogger Maxim Shulgin in the office of the “Leviy Blok” (Left Bloc) social movement. On the way to the centre, he was put face down on the floor between the seats of the car, with his feet on the heater, which they switched on. This resulted in first and second-degree burns.
