A criminal case against local resident and blogger Vladimir Chesalin in Zhukovka (Bryansk Oblast) was reviewed. The regional administration had brought the case before a magistrates’ court a month previously. Chesalin posts videos on YouTube and publishes articles on websites criticising the city’s state of affairs. According to the regional government, he disseminates slanderous statements about officials in Zhukovka. The court dismissed the case.
