Polyakov was detained along with other participants of the picket in support of the Pskov journalist Svetlana Prokopyeva, accused of justifying terrorism. He was released from the police with a commitment to appear to draw up a protocol on violation of the rules of rallies and pickets (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Administrative Code).
