On October 19, Hrair Melkonyan, an assistant to Sasoun Mikayelyan, a parliamentary representative, sent a letter to the prosecutor of Kotayk province stating that a recording of a call published on “FIP.am” (former “sut.am”) on October 18 was a violation of the right to privacy. The Kotayk province investigative department filed a criminal case under Article 146.1 of the Armenian Criminal Code against Rafayel Afrikyan, a journalist from the “FIP.am” site. On December 3, the criminal case was closed due to insufficient evidence.
