On June 19, Samvel Haroutyunyan, head of the state committee on science under the Ministry of Education and Science, turned to the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction to file a case against Daniel Ioannisyan, programme co-ordinator of the NGO “Union of Informed Citizens”, seeking compensation of AMD 2 million for damage caused to his honour and dignity. The court opened the case on June 26.
