On July 6, Mourad Mouradyan, a former minister for nature protection and parliamentarian from the Republican faction, filed a lawsuit to Yerevan Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative district courts of general jurisdiction against “1in.am” news site founder “Beginning media center” Ltd demanding a public apology and demanding the retraction of statements made in an article titled “Our parliamentarians’ “pusher” sons and Eurasian powerlessness”, published on the website “1in.am” on June 8. The article concerned the arrest of the son of Mourad Mouradyan, who was suspected of selling drugs in Belarus. Court proceedings on the case began on November 2.
