Prosecutors launched a probe after an interview the leading independent infectious disease specialist, Viktoria Adonyeva, who described a shortage of hospital beds and warned of the dangers of a plebiscite on constitutional amendments. The regional administration "recommended" that the publication’s chief editor Denis Volin delete part of the interview with Adonyeva.
