On the 23rd of May a camera crew from the television company Rustavi 2,including journalist Edisher Mushkudiani and cameraman Bakur Chikhladze,was attacked in Tskaltubo (Imereti region). There were five attackers. The camera crew was filming a report about seven girls detained on suspicion of murdering a seven-month-old child. The journalist and cameraman were taken to the Kutaisi clinic "Eveks". Mushkudiani suffered from multiple fractures and injuries to his eyeball. Police have opened an investigation.
