On the 15th of September a unidentified group of people attacked the editor of the journal "Liberali" Zurab Vardiashvili on the outskirts of Tbilisi. Vardiashvili said that the attackers knew he was selling his car, and called him to organise a meeting. As soon as Vardiashvili arrived at the garage with his car, he was attacked. The reason for the attack is unknown, according to Vardiashvili. He added that the journal Liberali covers a wide variety of issues, but has not any conflict with businessmen or politicians recently. The Ministry of Internal Affairs opened an investigation under Article 126 of the Criminal Code in Georgia ("Attack"), and the police have already established the identities of the attackers and are questioning them and witnesses.
