A meeting of the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan in response to Abdurakhmanov's supervisory complaint took place on September 23rd and was held online. The judges of the Supreme Court were in Tashkent, and the journalist was in the building of the Karakalpak Criminal Court in Nukus, where a video broadcast of the meeting was organised.The hearing lasted only half an hour. During this time, the journalist told how in June 2008 he was arrested according to a pre-arranged scenario, and how allegedly drugs were found in his trunk. In response to this story, the Board of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without leaving even for a break, replied that Abdurakhmanov's request for rehabilitation was denied.
