Nazrullo Okhunzhanov, former head of the "New Society" (Yangi zhamiyat) studio of political and educational-legal programs on the "Uzbekistan" radio channel, who came to Ukaine from Turkey in order to obtain political asylum, was detained in Kiev on September 20th. Uzbek journalist Nazrullo Okhunzhanov, having been detained in Kiev, was released from custody. This was reported on Wednesday by the Ukrainian public organization, the Institute of Mass Media, with reference to the journalist's lawyer Alexey Fedorov. Nazrullo Akhunzhanov was on the international wanted list on charges of fraud.
