The Information Committee of the Ministry of Information and Public Development notified the editorial board of the Pavlodar newspaper City Week and its founder, PV Week LLP, that it would be conducting an unscheduled inspection in compliance with media law. An employee of the Ministry of Information and Public Development, who came to the newspaper on 24th July, did not read the contents of the newspaper publications and limited himself to studying the newspaper's output data. As a result, an error was found (some numbers showed incorrect data on circulation) and the Ministry's employee imposed a fine of 20 monthly notional units on the owner of the newspaper "PV Week". The editors acknowledged the violation and paid the fine on the same day.
