On May 23rd, Kostanai resident Asylbek Muldakhmetov filed a lawsuit with the Kostanai City Court against the weekly "Our Newspaper" and the newspaper's acting editor-in-chief Timur Gafurov for compensation of 3 million tenge in damages. As noted in the statement of claim, the editorial office disseminated false information, tarnishing the honour, dignity and business reputation of both Muldakhmetov and the LLP "Kastarstom" in which he works. The editorial office did not receive a pre-trial claim.
