The editor of the newspaper "Breath of the Region", Lazzat Asanova, was found guilty by the Tole Bi District Court under Article 130 part 2 ("Slander") of the Criminal Code and sentenced to a fine of 500 monthly notional units (1,202,500 tenge). The head of the education department of the Tole Bi district, Rosa Amanova, had filed the complaint with the court.
