On April 2nd, the judge of the Specialised Inter-District Administrative Court in Astana, Asiya Doschanova, found Svetlana Glushkova, a correspondent of Radio Azattyk and the channel Current Time, guilty of committing offences under Articles 72-3, part 1 ("Assault") and Article 653, part 1 ("Showing disrespect to the court"). The journalist was accused of "assault" by a volunteer of KSU "Youth of Astana", Gulnar Turarbekova.
