Marina Podgornaya, a resident of the village of Kascat in the Mendykara district region, filed a lawsuit in the Kostanai City Court to protect her business reputation against Tobol Info LLP. The plaintiff, corresponding to article 143 of the Civil Code of Kazakhstan, asks the court to oblige Tobol Info LLP to refute information suggesting that her massage salon was a brothel, which she considered defamatory to the honour, dignity and business reputation of the salon. The lawsuit does not say which salon, and which of the news agency's publications are concerned in the suit. On March 28th, M. Podgornaya appealed to the court with a request to withdraw the claim and stop proceedings. The court ruled in favour.
