On March 22nd, in Kostanai, police detained blogger Nikolaos Marmalidi, who had conducted and filmed a survey of citizens celebrating Nowruz (Persian New Year). Nikolaos Marmalidi was taken to the Kostanai Department of Internal Affairs, where he was held for more than three hours. He was asked what he was doing in the street before his arrest. Before the blogger was released, police officers deleted his footage from the survey and his arrest from his mobile phone and video camera. According to Nikolaos, his equipment was also damaged during the detention.
