On May 28th 2018, according to a lawsuit filed by the prosecutor of the Medeu district of Almaty, judge Gulmira Beisenova ruled "to stop the publication of the network edition of the analytical Internet portal Ratel.kz, to cancel its registration and prohibit the use of the domain name Ratel.kz in the online space of the Kazakh media for one year with the same or duplicate name."
