Maletina filed a lawsuit in court to protect the honour, dignity and business reputation and compensation of moral harm in the amount of 1 million tenge against the editorial office because of the publication of the article "The Lawyer in the Dock. Who is cheating: polygraph or victim?" ("Our Kostanai," April 27th, 2017). The article referred to the trial of the lawyer Khasenov for the rape of a resident of Kostanai. On 14th February, the Kostanai City Court ruled that the settlement agreement should be approved in mediation and the termination of proceedings in the civil case.
