On November 30th, 2017, the newspaper "The Quarter" published an article by Saure Zhumalieva "Don't fight with the strong? Don't sue the rich?". The publications refer to the confrontation between headteacher Grigory Amyagi, and a "group of people who organised actual bullying" against him. According to teachers, the headmaster of the school fell out of favour because of the conflict with the director of Tselinnoye-2004 LLP, Serik Ibraev. In early February 2018, Serik Ibraev filed a claim in the Gabit Musrezov district court. He claimed that "statements in written form, video and in the newspaper are not true, they are false." The plaintiff asked the court to "recognise as illegal the defendants' actions of disseminating untrue information that defames the honour and dignity of Ibraev, Serik Kenzhitaevich", and to oblige them to publish a refutation.
